SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea says it has scrambled F-16 fighter jets and returned fire after North Korea shot dozens of rounds of artillery onto a populated South Korean island near the countries' western border.

they do have the backing of the U.S., though if we were to seriously get involved, it would be a second Korean war. SK does have their navy stationed not too far away from where this happened........

if it happened to Japan, it would be significantly worse than it is now.

i dont think China is as radical as they were in the past...especially compared to North Korea. that being said, would it be smart for them side with NK during this time of re-vitalizing the country into a "modern" country?
