I've been riding a Rumble for two years and I recommend it highly, stong withe great lines. Plus it doesn't look like a KHS. The 05's will offer interchangable drop-outs too to customize to your angles and chainstay length.

I have a 04 Rumble and love it.... And the 05 with the new drop outs is really trick. I am really impressed with the way the bike rides and can't wait to add a DRS and front derailure to make the bike a little more all purpose. One word on the Rumble, they seem to run a little long in the front end and the HT is a little tall.

The Jackal looks pretty sweet from the couple I have seen up close. A couple of my co-workers have the Chameleon and love them. If that's any indication of what the Jackal will be like, it should be a nice ride.

I think either bike will be good a good choice, but my vote is on the Rumble.

Yea, one of Mountain Cycles sponsored guys rides around here and the are freaking beefy frames. The little time i've spent on one they seemed well balanced and tight, but i'd still go with a Jackal to go with my V-10.

OT: Brian, I ordered 888 Works that last Thur. but never got a shipping date or tracking number, how long do those beasts usually take? BTW Mary was super cool about everything when i called and especially when i couldn't figure out the EP form.

What shop are you with? I can look into it... Right now, we are a little behind on the orders with the big beginning of the season orders that are hitting my warehouse guys right now..

Yup, Mary is doing good so far and getting better every day.... I might have to start watching my back!!

I'm with Fayetteville Bicycle Company. It's sweet you guys are swamped there and i hear the first run of Z1 FR I are already gone, which is what i'm putting on my Jackal/Chameleon for a fun HT. Good CS rocks...

It looks like your parts kit just got into the tech room today... Tracy will be setting it up for you and getting it on the way.

At the Interbike dirt demo I only rode three bikes,
'04 MC rumble ht med with z1 130
'04 MC rumble s1 small with dj1
'05 SC jackal reg size with dj1
I'm 5'-7" and the jackal's front felt a little long to me, but I thought it looked really cool. I like the size of the small rumble. I haven't ridden the new '05 rumble but the 15-1/4" adjustable chainstays sound fun.

I think that between the two I would go for the Jackal, but then again I have a Scratch. I didn't really like the mountain cycle at I-bike this year. Maybe its just me not liking Mountaincycle. :stosh:

Which rumble did you ride at Interbike? Or did you just not like the army green color of the one on display.
You do like how the jackal rides then? Or do you just prefer Taiwan made bikes?

I'd go for the Jackal and here's why: The Rumble is too tall for my liking. It has a super-tall headtube and I like the bars slammed-you can't bunnyhop for sh*t with your bars so freaking high.
