Ryan Takes Second at Air Force Classic, Team TIBCO Defends First-place NCC Ranking

<p>Team TIBCO sprinter Kendall Ryan took a well-earned second place podium finish today at the Air Force Classic Clarendon Cup. The young sprinter was backed by a six-rider squad that included two-time Olympian Joanne Kiesanowski, Team Captain Meredith Miller, as well as Jennifer Purcell, Samantha Schneider and Jennifer Wheeler.</p><p>

Today’s criterium took the riders through a five-corner, 1-kilometer circuit in Arlington, Virginia. </p><p>
</p><p>
“We accomplished a big goal today,” said Team TIBCO European directeur sportif Angela van Smoorenburg. “The Team is determined to defend their first place ranking in the National Criterium Calendar, and today they succeeded by delivering Kendall to the podium.”</p><p>
</p><p>
Tomorrow, the Team will have another opportunity to buil d their lead as they take on the Crystal Cup Criterium.</p><p>

Whitten and Fortin Named to Canada’s Olympic Long Team</p><p>

Canada has announced its Olympic long team, selecting Team TIBCO riders Veronique Fortin (right) and Tara Whitten. </p><p>
</p><p>
Whitten is already slated to compete on the track, while Fortin is the current Road National Champion. Final selection of three spots for the road race and two spots for the time trial will be announced June 21.</p>
