No...he never really made it as a "white rapper," like the other Vanilla Ice look-a-likes. He was a 39 year old inspiring white rapper. However, the "Entourage" show was pretty good. I always thought that the Turtle character was fictional, but it seems like he was playing himself, which is kind of sad.

nope, you're misreading the article. Donnie Carrol is dead. He was a friend of Marky Mark and the character that Turtle was based on. Turtle is played by Jerry Ferrara. Not dead. I can't believe I watch this show, but it's awesome. Hopefully there'll be a 3rd season.
