its not so much about padding, it's about the shape of the saddle.

It's like a white hat - the good guy. And white saddles are very fast.

They actually hold up really well too. I put two full seasons on my last one and it had plenty of life left on it when I sold the bike.

'nother thumbs up for the Flite....don't bother with the Gel unless it's on clearance or something. It doesn't add much comfort, just a little weight.

I like Flites, don't get me wrong...but THIS is the best $50 I ever spent on a saddle (for my road bike). I use the $40 version without the anatomic cutout on my DH bike. Light as a Flite but not so spendy, and the $40 has a slightly dropped nose that makes it quite nice. It has held up to quite a few crashes, as well.
