My beloved Selle trans am started creaking after I swapped it from my last dozen bikes onto my 29er HT. A few rocky sections and it was feeling pretty rough. I dripped some triflow onto the rails, and that only seemed to make it worse. I had a woody take a look at it and he sez it's from the dry lube causing stiction on the rail twist, but adding some grease and mineral oil only helped a little. A closer look turned up a bit of a gap where the rail is inserted in the the saddle.
I'm ready to give up, but I was wondering if there's any way to fill that gap and still allow the rail to twist in its hole. Alternatively, if I just fill the hole with epoxy or JB wald, will the saddles "suspension" still work?
I really like the saddle, it fits my butt nice like and it doesn't make my nards go numb.
