Hi
I've bent the mech hanger on my M1 and I was wondering if it would be poss to use a Saint mech on my hope hub. I am using a 12mm bolt-through axel. How does the saint attach to the axel? is the mech the nut that holds the wheel in place? if you have any ideas, plans... I would apreciate it.
thanks
PJ

I would have prefered it if he was right though!
any other solutions?
how does the saint mech stay on? does it act as the axel bolt and take all the strain?
is it a standard thread or some strange bicycle specific thread?

I think the saint uses both derailleur mount and axle, however I could be wrong again. That would now make it 3 times in my life I was wrong. :D

The axle threads right into the saint mech. The mounting face of the mech has a tab that fits into the drop-out and the axle screws in. You'd need a 12mm axle that steps down to 10 at the threaded portion that enters the mech.

Don't forget that you're stuck with rapid-rise if you chose to use a saint mech.

Dunno if Deemaxs are 10mm or not. If so, yes it'll work. You'll need those drop-out spacers for you M1 to get it to QR size though.
