i remember reading that the shifter was actually designed for low-normal derailleurs, but who knows.
The NSMB article said that but the info was/is wrong. Shifting action is determined by the derailleur.

I am curious of when the shifter will be available also.

Sounds rad! Anyone know the MSRP? I wonder if selling a SRAM setup will be enough to get the Saint shifter and an XT derailure....

The shifter is rad. I've been riding one for 4 months. It has a super short throw on it so it feels like your getting faster/crisper shifting. You run it between your grip/brake lever so that way you can run your brake lever far out and actually pull it from the very end where you get the best modulation and leverage.

A+ on the Saint shifter!
