I want to apply for a job as a bicycle product engineer in the US and the company wants to know my salary requirements. As I come from Europe I have no idea what the standard is in America for an engineer coming straight from his studies. Can anyone give my any help?

Thanks
Cru

"engineer" is such a general term... some kinds of entry level civil start very low, but if you are a good EE you might start as high as 60K.

Thank you for your help. I have a degree which is at least aequivalient with a Bachelor of Science. I apply for several positions in Colorado, Wisconsin and California. Salary.com is a big help, thanks for that link!

Region makes a huge difference. You want to look at both salary and cost of living. I was considering going back to California until I looked at the salary vs. cost of living. In SoCal my salary increases about 15%, but the cost of living increase is more like 35%. So for my $$$ it pays to stay here.
