I just found these Salsa cyclocross brake levers on Ebay. They look like a good deal. Anyone ever used these and have an opinion on their performance and reliability?

I've played with the new ones some- they might be the only ones, I'm not sure, but they are OK. The only thing I didn't like is that they were machined for oversized handlebars and come with shims for standard. I am not a huge fan of shims and other such ugliness on my road and cx bike, but it's just a vanity thing. They all work great, go for it.

i had a set that i used all season for CX. they are ok *shruggs*, if i buy another set i'm going to go with the empella frog legs no questions asked. but then again i'm thinking about not even running them next year.......

I run them. They work as good as top mounts can. Don't mind the shims.

I've installed them and they work well. Something about their appearence makes you doubt them, but they work.
