How long are you going to be in town? A few friends and I are going for a short romp at Mac on sunday if you want to meet us. Cowboys can be fun but you have to watch out for the jailbait.

I spent like 11 days there in November, and had a pretty awesome time. Unfortunately I missed the Dia de los Muertos celebrations, but still had fun.

Make sure to get a pic next to the gigantic cowboy boots, they are in some circles far more famous than the Alamo. **ducks** Actually the Alamo was one of the highlights of the trip for me. Especially when followed up by a couple of drinks in the basement at the Alamo. Alas Peewee's bike was nowhere to be seen. :)

The boots @ North Star Mall, haha. They found a 'migrant' family living in them at one point I believe.

@John - I think we'll be out there around 11ish due to hangover...at least I know I'll be in that condition. I'll post up here on saturday to confirm the time.

Will be at Mac Sat afternoon, look for a white Subaru w/ Cali plates. I will be the good looking guy on the red Kona Unit. Prolly being chased by a bunch of cowgirls...

Sunday too, if I make it through Sat night. Going to Howl at the Moon, piano bar place.

John - will be at mac around 11ish tomorrow - silver xterra with a green 29er. Don't worry about your condition after tonight...I'll most likely be in bad shape too. Howl at the moon is always a good place to start. If you're going to be hopping around down there, try Swigs below and Mad Dogs.

If you haven't already, there's a relaxed thursday night ride here in town. A smaller group hits the trails before meeting up with the larger group on the streets for a bit and then breaking off at a bar or two. If you're interested, we leave from here at 6pm sharp. Bring a light if you have one...if not, I have an extra.

You could park around Zilker Park. The Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail is there. There is a huge bike shop(Bicycle Sport Shop) at Lamar and Barton Springs Road right up the street from Zilker.

I don't think you are allowed to ride bikes on the sidewalks downtown or around the University.
