Strucural implications? If I were to sand the beads smooth, say, on a rear swingarm, so as to remove the anodizing from the entire swingarm (and between the beads) to then polish said frame, is the structure compromised significantly? PS-this is already done; just curious.

what kind of bike ?
aluminum ?

Are you planning on Re- sanding the welded area for anodizing ?

If so you are going to create a million tiny little stress risers , as the orignal structure has already been heattreated , lso if your planning on getting this structure anodized this will re heat the frame out of tolerence .

Pretty sure this isnt a good idea from many differt levels .
