Hola. I'm still sore from my Thursday afternoon ~9 mi trail ride. I am getting old.
Morning, catching the morning news and heading off to work
I'm "working" too. By which I mean I'm sitting in a Boeing factory doing pretty much nothing, so long as our machine continues to work well.
sell blue some clean urine if you see him...
great night w/ Kurt Vile last night.
Hungover. Fun night out with friends for my birthday. Car bombs were had in quantity. Riding with my brother later at the Air Force Academy.
Raining again ffs, no beach parties in this weather and my only shoes feel like walking in jellyfish. On the bright side I nearly trampled Yuen woo ping. Would love to see his new movie.
Did a 4 hour ride a few weeks ago with a decent sized group. Strongest riders in the group were in their late 40s and early 50s. Age is just an excuse for being lazy.
The empty nester/post mid-life crisis guys are always fast.
Fair enough. It's not a legs or back soreness deal, for the most part, but rather a "why the hell does my thumb hurt since the ride?" kind of deal. I must have tweaked it on the bars somehow. I blame my weird collagen, plus not having ridden in two weeks or so.
Good afternoon! Put in a couple of hours in the saddle this morning. Things were a bit sloppy as I'm a bit fatigued from last night's ride, but who am I to complain. What a great day to be alive.
I am working today. That is all.
Oh man, that is a KEEPER. it's going in the rotation along with: "darn this bum knee, I didn't eat breakfast, does my tire look low? think i have a slow leak" and other timeless favorites.
Heh. I actually do have (a non-vascular form of) Ehlers-Danlos. I have overly stretchy collagen, in other words.
(who's old? this guy)
Already sick of my work mates.
Stretch Armstrong Mother Fvcker!
growl from the eastern time szone it was a race day in super d. I practiced this friendly course on Thursday Friday then again today. Wow Racing is fun as it ever was. Met a few good people I feel now this has become something I must continue. Not sure how I placed though on that mostly downhill trail there was one rider racing who I passed then wasn't lapped. Very neat place very evil hiney cheeks, I am babooned muscularly. So getting saddle position isn't an easy trick. Nearly have it dialed on my 29er's brooks oh kay they leather is gorgeous. Send more spandex.
Yup. My Dad is 75, legally blind, and still does at least three road rides a week and mountain bikes as well. There used to be a guy on here, (DH builder I think), who was in his mid fifties and would straight up shred the nasty stuff at Windrock.
Couple mates tried to kill me this morning with an impromptu Chimpexchim ride with two laps on Enchanted Forest and a Grubstake/whatever thing thrown in.
18 miles and 4000-ish climbing.
Chimpex and BACK?
'Morning!! I ran six miles today between the treadmill and testing the knee on pavement. Other than that, lots of running around.
Did 22 miles on the road bike in1.5 hours, 14.5 average. Good for me. Then BigT helped out at karate, and after that we bought a new grill.
Pedal Power mountain bike ride in the morning at Case tomorrow.
Be safe out there.
watched the tour de epo breakaway rip through livermore while I was stuck in gridlock. meh
