woke up just before 8am. Looked at my Phone. Message from the CEO at 0449 "Are you up?" did not reply
doing yard work, I'm debating going for a ride VS hanging out with the dogs chilling in my hammock with a beer and doing the home gym thing later. I think the beer and hammock option is going to win.

Ah, scope creep. Today is day 4 of a 2 day job for the handyman my landlord uses. Some of it is extra stuff the landlord asked for. However, my door took cosmetic damage in the process of being fixed, so now the handyman gets to come back to paint the door. Last time this guy painted something inside my apartment he fell off a ladder with a full can of open paint and then proceeded to handle some small touch ups with broad brush strokes and no blending.

Didn’t sleep well because my middle child apparently has atypical pneumonia. Prescribed her a Z Pak and picked that up at Safeway this morning after dropping off wife and outer two kids for a day of skiing.

Quite the shit show. Had like 30 volunteers and 13 kids showed up.

Lil Man didn't do as well as he would have liked. They all shot with the same ball which makes sense, but it wasn't as nice as his that he'd been shooting with all morning. Still fun and I will try and get the word out for next year. Cliff said when his kids were young and did it (20 years ago or so), they filled the high school gym with over 100 kids. 13 kids is a depressing turnout.

Bad start to the day. The sourdough mini bakery had no croissants because they were too busy preparing for hosting a Christmas "market". :rant:Motivation was therefore low, so did mainly chill as it was rainy as well.

BTW: is Vital down?

sunringles seed.

1250 miles of driving home, zero issues. Then the traffic turns to shit on 76 and 70 because of accidents, 30 miles from home.

Google maps now provides alerts for accidents. I haven't taken official statistics but there is pretty much at least a minor fender bender before and after every fucking exit on I-5 around here on my afternoon commute, no matter the conditions.

I-5 corridor is the place to be!

It's not that great having to spend so much time apart from my kids. I have a plan to mitigate some of the loneliness. We'll see if it works out, lol.

Just got in from the shop. Time for coffee and a book. Have a few appointments today for folks to come admire and rub wood. The first time is odd but after that you really get used to strangers touching it.

Probably go to the library at some point.
One guy brought his wife so they could both rub and hold the wood together
