Clipped a tree with the handlebar for an old school scraped up knee. Had enough time to navigate the fall to roll effectively but not to save the knee from the dry hard ground. Not worse than I had a good ride still.

slow cooked 4 pounds of pork loin in the crock pot overnight. did a dry rub then added 4 12oz bottles of Brother Thelonious Belgian Ale and sliced onion. it was falling apart on its own this morning. Making Tamales today.

time for an espresso break before I start making the chili verde sauce

Hey bruhvs. I "ran" a half marathon this morning in 1:36:40 on my bum foot. Goddamn thing hurt every step of the way, but I kept the effort in check and I think I managed to get through the race without making things worse. We'll see tomorrow when I wake up! I managed to finish 27th out of 600 or so overall, and was 2nd in my age group which won me another pint glass to pile onto the heap. Waiting now for Wife to get home from a dog adoption event with our new foster pup.

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Afternoon. Getting back into the swing with school and coaching and mentoring and trying to keep everything straight is exhausting. Sqearl's uncle passed so he went to the services and I have been "single parenting" for a couple of days. Youngest had a sleepover last night and Syd & I chilled with some wings before she went to a friends bonfire so I had the house all to myself and it was glorious until damn cat brought n another live rodent. I heard him bright and early this morning. Not sure if it's a big chipmunk or a squirrel but it's in the house and both the cat & dog are hunting it.

2md in the heat. Crushingly amazing at defensive driving. The only place to pass and she managed to shut the door on the inside and the outside at the same time.

Those are fun machines to run! It's always amazing to me how much wood chips come out of stumps.

it was nowhere near as difficult to operate as I was expecting. plus a number of the stumps were small and had been sitting for a few years, it chewed right through those. it's been very dry here so the dirt was basically moon dust.
