I'm sure they are... Only makes sense, with 35mm stanctions and the same internals, to make a whole different set of lowers for basically the same fork minus a crown, it wouldn't be very cost effective at all.

I wonder if the 2004 Marzocchi Z1 and the Super-T also have the same lowers ?
When I serviced both forks I noticed that the lowers are 'identical' when I put them next to each other, or am I missing something ?

Well, again, can't say for sure but it just wouldn't make sense for Marz to make identical looking lowers that were actually different. Maybe Brian Peterson will chime in, but doing one big production run for Z.series, Super T, Jr. T and probably DJ's as well would be a lot cheaper than having all of the machine setups for individual lines and having to schedule the different runs based on demands...

I thought my ears were burning....

Yes, the 66 and 888 use the same lowers.... On 03 and 04 forks, a lot of the forks share lowers. The 32mm forks share lowers. But for 05, some of the new features required new lowers to be made...

outside castings may be the same, but the internal depth may not be (ie. 5" forks vs. 7"). Most likely an easy manufactring change over; you could swap out the internal casting core and keep the same external mould.
