We are planning to go to either Schweitzer or Mt. Hood this weekend. Other than the race courses, are there any good DH trails? Also, does either have much lodging that is reasonably priced, and close to the lifts? For those of you who have ridden both, which is your favorite and why?

don't go to mt. hood, go to hood river instead! (on i-84.) stop at one of the local bike shops and ask for a trail map. try to hit up xcoursex, GP, Egghunt, Frankenstein.

if your in the mt hood area i would ride it for a day(skibowl), i wouldnt devote a weekend to it but they have some fun trails. also, i forget what the big lodge on mt hood is called but i rode a pretty long a fun trail from the lodge down into the valley(gov camp area), also if your dipping farther down into oregon willamette pass has really been working on some trails and they have all new lifts and a pretty nice area, enjoy your weekend
