Slacking at work
So a few months ago while trying to prepare for the 24 Hours of Dalton, I sent an email out to a company DL asking if anyone had a generator I could borrow for the weekend. I got no useful responses at the time, and there was no power at Jackalope/Ridemonkey/Allezy camp at the race.

But then last week, some dude emailed me and was like "I have this Honda generator sitting in my garage, it was used once like 5 years ago, I'll sell it to you for $30."

So I was like sure, I'll take it. Then he emails me yesterday and says he pulled the starter a bunch of times and couldn't get it started, but if I still wanted it I could have it for $10.

So today I got the thing for $10. When we were making the exchange he demonstrates that it doesn't work by pulling the starter. I didn't mention to him that the start switch was set to "off".

I did a quick check, the gas is old as dirt. But it gets a spark, and has compression. So I think a little gum-out and maybe some laquer thinner, and I've got an almost brand new $500 Honda generator for $10   :D :thumb:

The best Genny's in my company's quiver are the honda's. Too bad it is not one of the new whisper quiets. Even at the indy 500, the guys from Honda were impressed that we had one running and you could barely hear it

Word. We had an EU1000 powering our outdoor wedding reception. The generator was less than 10 yards away and you couldn't hear it.
