Anyone have experience with taking one of these aprt? Scott's site just says you need a "special tool, go to your dealer". It isn't just a pinchbolt(s) and I'm having a devil of a time figuring out how to get the rear triangle off... Thanks.

They make a special tool kit for taking off and putting on the rear pivot axle. I have done it without the special tools but it is so much faster and safer for your frame with the special tools. Putting the axle back on could work with a piece of threaded rod and some nuts/washers. Taking off the pivot will need a rod or socket head that is the exact size of the INNER axle. There are spacers around the outside of the axle that press on the bearings. Make sure not to push on the outer spacers and only force on the inner axle and it will slide out the other side. Did that make sense? Don`t hesitate to ask if anything is unclear.
