SCOTT USA IS READY TO TAKE BACK AMERICA
MBAction | 18 Aug | R. Cunningham

Scott USA is a popular mountain bike brand in Europe, but has been absent from our shores for almost ten years. Not for long, however. Armed with a new carbon fiber technology called CR1, Scott unveiled its plans to return to the US in a press camp near San Moritz, Switzerland. CR1 refers to a process that creates tubes from carbon fiber material that is cured under tension—a process that reportedly, has a dramatic effect upon the strength and stiffness of the finished product. The new technology was masterminded by “Hot Chili” designer Peter Denk and his hand-picked team of engineers. Scott Montgomery, the guy who put Cannondale on the map as an international brand and assembled its victorious World Cup effort will spearhead Scott USA’s return to North America.
