As you can clearly see in the pic below, I screwed up the stanchion on my fork this weekend. I have been told by some to fill in the scrapes with black nail polish and then "wet-sand the area".....anyone else have any tips that they can offer? :help:

as long as it's not sharp, your fine. If it's sharp, then the advice is good. Use a light paper (like 1000 grit) only to take the edges off. If you want to fill with polish, you can. I left mine and it doesn't look great, but I have had zero seal issues.

Nail Polish is pretty temporary. JB Weld, or some kind of aluminum polish will have a longer lasting result. Just remember to be very careful, using very fine sand paper or a fine steel wool.
