¡Mira, una ardilla!
haven't seen any coverage just yet but figured we could use somewhere to store the eventuality.

looks like oneup has a dropper post on the way so i guess we'll be seeing that.

any rumored stuff you dorks are looking forward to seeing?
I was about to comment on the post. Got intrigued by the newsflash they sent me. Pity they don't have any info on the internals, serviceability, etc. Just remarks about it "not being a Reverb".

I'm looking forward to going around to the different booths and asking them why their products suck

Hey RoxShox, how come your Lyric RC feels like poo even though it has the same damper as the RCT3?
Hey SRAM, how come your drive train creaks no mater what I do to it?
Hey e13 how come your dropper developed play in it after a month and you expect me to take it apart and loctite some shit together for you?
Hey Maxxis, how come you don't make Minions in 27.5x2.5 in a non balloon casing?

There is enough clearnace on the 650B to clear a short 29" tire maybe a 2.2 I would guess. Would make sense for Rob to make some longer rear stays to make a 29" wheel fit. I suggested he make a flip chip on the back that would move it back 15mm and up 15mm to go between 650 and 29".
But why?

That thing is already a tank.

Oooh! Looks like the 1up dropper post has MAGIC!!! inside. I love vague descriptions of stuff I might fork out hard cash for. They are the best thing ever!

^It sounds like it uses that cartridge from an office chair company that a bunch of droppers are using now. They're supposedly prwtty good, and cheap. It's up to the individual companies to make the post's chassis good (keyways, bushings, seals, saddle clamp).

So while the bike industry was busy trying to employ drop-out industrial engineers to come up with something new and leaky/saggy, a product already existed that worked for the intended purpose? Shocking I tell ya...Almost like how damper technology existed in motorsports and other applications while RS and Marzocchi tried to sell all kinds of crazy ass pumping rods and dipshit TST dampers...

'It's easy to envision mounting the Bartlett on something like the YT Capra, Santa Cruz Nomad, or a Pivot Firebird for a weekend trip to the bike park, and then tossing the single crown back on for those non-lift assisted rides'

That fork looks like it'll get the absolute shit pounded out of it under a heavy and/or fast rider.

I rode a one bike solution for a few years with two forks and two wheelsets.
It works, better than having a single fork and wheelset. However long I can still ride a variety of terrain, I will have a DH bike and a trailbike. I am so over the one bike solution.

In another 20 years when all I can do is pedal around easy singletrack then I will have a one bike solution - and hell it may even have a motor...in 20 years I won't care - mid 70's, bring on the e-assist.

Yeah, if it's 5.5lbs, why the hell would you ever take it off?

How much does a 2017 Fox 36 29" 170mm fork weigh*? I'm seriously considering selling the fork off my Capra 29 while it's unused and getting this MRP. I love the feel of double crown forks.

*My weak Googling is resulting in 4.5lbs but that seems low.

the fact that they needed to number each corner of the axle should tell you something. i'm just not entirely sure what...
Wait is that a pivot in the middle of the rear stays? Or is it just two pieces bolted together because God knows why?
That's why the rear axle is keyed, if it wasn't both halves of the rear triangle would send the wheel dancing around like Pe-wee Herman on crack. The suspension system is similar to the mid-link by Dave Earle, which Breezer and Fuji brought to market a couple of years ago:

TL;DR: Looks flexy.

lol...handcrafted

The real question though is will Tony Ellsworth make up a BS patent again and sue Dave Turner for using parallel linkages, like he did with the horst-link?

I do and I don't get why shocks like the DHS/Woodie/Chubie didn't become more popular...especially since now generic shocks are just as expensive. I checked the website and they're showing 'out of stock'. I hope that doesn't mean Craig is giving up on them.

The old world
Suntour already had the best fork name in the business, now they also have the worst:

Vittoria has their own pool noodle now:

Only 70€ for a product that's held together by threading a zip tie through holes you just cut yourself.
