Going for the first time, and pretty stoked to get out for the first big race of the year. I'm not expecting to much from the DH just glad to have fun on the new bike. I kinda hope they keep the wood drops and maybe add more. Doesn't hurt to add more features when the couse is inhearently tame.
hoping the DS and 4X come thru big though, seems like the right scene for some of the best head to head racing of the year.
We'll be in campground E, look for our white trailer and come by and check out the new Rotecs.

Stoked! We'll see you down there then. Stepping it up to Sport this year myself. Glad I'm the old man though so I don't have to race against you!

If anybody knows where to host a 55mb vid, I've got some helmet cam footage that DLo shot last year.

Sea Otter is great for anyone who loves all things cycling. It is a total celebration of riding and the lifestyle included, not just racing and "getting runs in" everybody has the same obstacles and the same amount of time to practice. Enjoi the beer, the mini-tradeshow, maybe check out some stuff you never would normally. Ride a road bike or hit the xc course, honestly how many days in your life do you get to experience so many new and cool things? Spread out and quit worrying abou the podium. Competition is for fun-not for results. Lets get back to that and enjoi each other and the courses these folks made for us to ride. My wife and kids have been coming with me for four years now and last year I was focused on results...the worst year we have ever had. Every other year we just gawk and meet folks and it's such a blast. The ridings fun too. I personally love the slalom course because of the burms, the xc course because it is demanding and super fast, and the DH course cuz it's short, fun and easy to lose time on(every little thing counts on that course-even your aero positioning). Challenging, fun and super cool atmosphere. Good times.
