Some on this list may know that some of us in the
Seacoast chapter are planning a ride that will start
at Bear Brook, go to Northwood Meadows, visit
Pawtuckaway and return to Bear Brook (all in one day
approx 30 miles). Basically we are riding the
perimeter of Deerfield. We plan to make this as
off-road as possible. This is a fund-raising ride with
some of the money raised to go to Bear Paw Regional
Greenways (http://www.bear-paw.org/).
We have tenatively planned this for Sept 24th. We are
also considering alternative dates in October to avoid
the Deerfield Fair (first weekend of Oct). I had hoped
to move it to Columbus Day weekend but the park
managers are discouraging that because it is the last
big camping weekend.
We have started crafting a route and are getting help
from local folks who know where legitimate trails
cross the beautiful land which surrounds these parks.

We will be working on this through the winter and
spring and keep you updated. In order for this to be
successful, it is likely that we will need a little
help from our local members. This should be a fun
event and help to strengthen the mtb community's ties
to land owners and managers of some great riding
spots.
