I removed my seat and post to try to put another seat in it's place, the second seat and post wouldn't fit in the "hole"(for lack of a better term), it was too small, so I tightened the tightening bolt/screw whatever and still no go .. I went to put the 1st one back in and now it wont fit back in without forcing it... My question is did I ruin the "hole" by over tightening it, or is it fixable....

Someone mentioned vaseline on the seatpost. I thought I might heat up the "hole" somehow to expand it back to it's original size...

Please help

that's why we drink it here
The seat tube (the part you call the "hole") is crimped down a bit. You should be able to work it back open. Try putting a screwdriver in the slot to pry it open a bit.

Protip: There are many sizes of seat post. A fraction of a millimeter makes a difference. Always check what was in there before, it should be labeled on the side of the seatpost.
