"LeanSteer Technology"
That's all the better they could do? Someone with a title like "Senior Vice President of New Product Development" should be straight up getting fired for that crap.

I can't help but wonder how that "lean-steer" feature on the offroad version is affected by being on an off-camber trail.

My favorite was when someone added a small third wheel in the back and eliminated the gyroscope. Basically the same thing for 1/10th the price.

Or in the early models when the low battery control didn't work, and when you ran the battery down enough the gyroscope would stop working before the rest of it shut down.

Still, one can't help but stand in awe of "the future of transportation."

I saw my very first Segway in person at BWI airport last week. One of the airport workers was moving through the terminal on it and I was surprised how modest the speed was. While walking on the moving sidewalk, we were in a dead heat. He only overtook me when I had to span the area before the next moving sidewalk after stepping off one...and I am not known to be fleet of foot.

Top speed is a little over 12mph IIRC, still a lot faster than you walk.

I do think it's funny how much the guy hyped it, though.

Hillarious!

"Marty had a little lamb
Its fleece was made to order
And everywhere that Marty went
He took his strange disorder

He brought it to a birthday bash
At the hostess' urgin'
But she was shocked when she found out
The lamb was not a virgin!

He took it to a pal's stag night
The host got very cold
For when he lifted lambkin up
He saw the hole was old

The answer for all lonely guys
Who just can't get to sleep
Instead of blowing up this ewe
Buy ten and count the sheep"
