IRAQI INSURGENT vs US MARINE...'Winning Hearts and Minds'!

A U.S. Marine squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist, badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road was an American Marine in a similar but less serious state.

The Marine was conscious and alert and as first aid was given to both men, the squad leader asked the injured Marine what had happened.

The Marine reported, "I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent. We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road.

I yelled to him that Saddam Hussein was a miserable, lowlife scum bag who got what he deserved, and he yelled back that Ted Kennedy is a fat, good-for-nothing, left wing liberal drunk who doesn't know how to drive.

So I said that Osama Bin Laden dresses and acts like a frigid, mean-spirited lesbian!

He retaliated by yelling, "Oh yeah? Well, so does Nancy Pelosi!"

"And, there we were, in the middle of the road, shaking hands, when a truck hit us."

Nancy Pelosi is hardly a socialist. If we're talking socialists let's talk about Sylvia Pankhurst, champion of women's voting rights and anti-Fascist!

Funny how he titled a thread Semper Fi without acknowledging the new GI a bill. A bill that received absolutely NO GOP support.

Huh. Way to support the troops.

Front Range, dude...
Try being in the military, and telling your co workers about the lack of GoP support for many of our benefits...and having them give you the deer in the headlights look. "But Obama is a Socialist" right...

Hey, he is a good republican troop supporter. He did burnouts in his hummer on the way to buy McDonalds for his overweight kids with a credit card, right before he clubbed a baby seal on the way to an NRA meeting. So lay off. America! Fvck Yea!
That is hilarious!!!!!

I've been out for over ten years now. Enlighten me. What is in the new GI bill?
You're not eligible, sorry. Ask your computer provider to install "The Google" on yours, type in "post 9/11 GI Bill"

The Post - 9/11 GI Bill is a new education benefit program for individuals who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.
When Can I Receive Benefits under the
Post-9/11 GI Bill?
Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits are payable for training pursued on or after August 1, 2009. No payments can be made under this program for training pursued before that date.
Am I Eligible?
You may be eligible if you served at least 90 aggregate days on active duty after September 10, 2001, and you are still on active duty or were honorably--
-discharged from the active duty; or -released from active duty and placed on the retired list or temporary disability retired list; or -released from active duty and transferred to the Fleet Reserve or Fleet Marine Corps Reserve; or -released from the active duty for further service in a reserve component of the Armed Forces.
You may also be eligible if you were honorably discharged from active duty for a service-connected disability and you served 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001.

It was a joke...

What did you do to support the troops today?
Thanks for your service.

I voted for my representatives who have a clear mission of supporting our troops, through both education and post active duty medical care.

VA care was an afterthought until the past year or two, until reports of shoddy care came out in the news. I can't think of many things that are a greater slap in the face to all who have served our country.

.. cause it has a Marine in it. Maybe I should have titled it "no GOP support GI bill service member get's hit by truck while talking to his enemy who has no health insurance at"

Guys, it was a joke that was sent to me. I thought it was funny and hoped that you might too. Of course that was before I realized there is no room for conservative style (republican or otherwise) humor in the all mighty Political World of Ridemonkey.

I did too. And I didn't serve to be thanked (however I appreciate the gesture). I served because that's what we are all called to do, serve.

so what does that have to do with the title of this thread?
Hey Jeenyus, you asked about the Bill, I provided an answer.

Has nothing to do with "Always Faithful" but your title didn't have a lot to do with the rest of your post either...

What did you serve in, btw, just curious...

You are right. I just copied it from the e-mail joke that was sent to me. It had nothing to do with what followed. Now we are picking nits.

I'm a Marine. You?

Fer ****sakes, I still don't think trannies ought to be teaching kindergarten. Im against most gun-control measures. I think illegals are a much bigger problem in this country than most. Affirmative action pisses me off...

But Spurclit don't go thinking we're buddies either, as I should tell you now I'm gay for jesus. And that doesn't mean Im a gay guy who happens to be christian, it just means I really find jesus attractive. Those abs!
