If they wanted a reflection of culture, they could have done something around a soul food theme perhaps, and planned it ahead of time. Maybe even ask for some input from the black student's union?

Srsly, just ignore the food tribute. Nobody would have complained if no menu "tribute" had been made. UCI should have foreseen this as a no win situation. Black people like chicken, so do white folk, stop do asians. My mountain bike team had a black kid, and there were telling some nasty racist jokes to each other.

I told him one which I can put here it in its entirety, and I had to apologize immediately despite warning him how bad it was:

"What the difference between a black man and a large pizza?"

"A large pizza will feed a family of four."

I love this joke (thanks mooshoo), but I wouldn't feel good telling it to a bunch of weak-minded aholes who mixing race means they hire Mexican housecleaners.
