Years ago - Skookum & I got into a pissing match over a Native American slur I routinely used to verbalize my opposition to state sponsored gambling. I said and wrote Injun Casino instead of Indian Casino - my choice of words was not motivated by racism but the fact was I chose a stereotype when I didn't have too. Lesson learned.
While I am all for dumb comments - I prefer they be directed towards liberal white overly educated golden spooned pot smokers.
I generally assume that people in PAWN know one another, and that whatever comments we make are generally taken in context with our views, which are by now very well-known to all.
But you know what, I did make a dumb comment or two in this thread that I thought were innocuous enough, but apparently they weren't, and this is a forum open to anyone and I should not have posted what I did. My apologies.
when you think about it: racism is about as stimulating as the leftover drunk chicks around last call. so, obviously my tart drippings were the result of choosing to be shallow

Sanjuro = telling racist jokes in the presence of a black person does not make it right - it just shows everyone that you are capable of finding humor in racism.
I don't understand how being comfortable with racist jokes makes you "better" than an overt racist?
Anyhow - I've reported your post as offensive - it does not matter what the context or issue you're trying to illustrate is - its still a racist joke on RM.
