Love the bit at the end of the vid where they report that the district prosecutor signed cheques to the officer who did most of the confiscating for $10,000 as payment for "investigative work"
if the report is truthful, fire them and throw 'em all in jail and throw away the key.
And make them personally pay the victims back all the money plus interest unless they can prove the commission of a crime other than going 37 in a 35.
See if they had been smart and tax the drivers. They would net just as much money with red-light cameras with shortened yellow lights and those pesky 55-40-55 speed traps. But if you are too lazy for those scams......
Restaurants and bars both deal in a lot of cash and are often dirty businesses, especially in Louisiana. Even the most moral people end up needing to grease palms for building permits and liquor licenses, not to mention equipment purchases and under the table employees.
They may not have been on the perfect up-and-up, but the perfect up-and-up will put you out of business.
