Here's a couple of interesting questions for people in the know:

Is it possible to replace the stock 1.5" steer tube/crown/stanchion assembly on a Breakout with the 1.175" version from a Flick or Firefly?

And, are the stanchions from each fork the same length or different?

You see what I'm getting at here right? A 6" sc fork with a 1.175" steertube.

Btw, I understand the implications of voiding the warranty. It's a used fork anyway.

how will you seperate the crown and stantion. then how will you fit it back in?

With a new crown/steerer/stanchion setup as well as a spring, I was able to build up a modified Breakout into a Flick.
