I bet this is not the end of DNS/BIND, just a small hole which can be patched.

Considering no one has done it yet, I know its fixable.

Saddly this one is not small, is one of the really bad situations you get only once in 10 years or so... Patches exist but several ISPs haven't patched their DNSs yet.... I will look my bookmarks for the website of the person who found out about this problem, he has a page that tells you if you are safe or not.

here you go, http://www.doxpara.com/ you go to this page and you click on the right Check My DNS and tells you if your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is updated or not...

On your side you MUST have applied all the related updated to your Windows or Linux or whatever you use.

The site has a very nice and simple explanation of what the problem is for non techies.
