Define 'standard 12mm dropouts'. There is a reason that bikes with anything other than 10mm/qr come with an axle...because there is no standard other than the hub I.D.

If your frame has flat plate style dropouts with a hole or slot like traditional vertical dropouts or simailar....they yes that part wil work. If your dropouts are thicker than about 1/4" or internally threaded (like the majority of bikes that take that large of an axle) then that axle most likely will not work.

The prior version of the Saint axle was aluminum, so I would assume that one is as well. That would make it similar in weight to the other aluminum 12mm axles out there. BTW, Hadley makes a bunch of axles for many frame makers and are sure to have something that will fit your frame as well.
