That is funny!

Although most people here probably think it's all crap, I actually liked the burly design of the derailleur. Especially the way the cable is routed on the inside of the parallelogram. So I made an adapter to bolt the derailleur straight on the QR axle instead. (Just a drilled out M10x1.0 bolt with M5 inside thread.) So far it works pretty good, but I have not hit any rocks yet...

Rapid raise is really annoying though. Maybe I'll get used to it... :nopity:

ya saint im sure is a good product but its stupid that that they made it incompatible with anything other than other saint products
and the myth lives on!!!

Saint cranks can be run on their own, with other outboard BB.

Saint derailler can be run with any 135mmx10mm thru-axle hub (or any thru axle hub if you can get axle made)

There are some Saint disk compatible hubs, both from Shimano and other.

Brakes are just rebadged Shimano stuff with splined rotors

Its really not that bad. And as for the hubs, if they didnt have those disk splines, then it wouldnt be anything special.
