Hi,

Let me know if I have this right. It is my understanding that all the Shimano road bottom bracket splines are the same. And that they are the same as the XTR spline. XT/LX/Deore are different. So, could I use an XTR bb with a set of 105 cranks to make use of the XTR bb 112.5mm spindle?

YES! The XTR spline will work on the 105 crank. The question is will it be to long of a spindle (double) or to short of a spindle (triple)
