I am currently working out a plan to build a killer trail chameleon. I was looking in to the XT system wheel set because a friend of mine really enjoys his. I have only seen these available with the centerlock system - does anyone know if these come in 6-bolt as well? I realize that Shimano likes to jeopardize my brake options so I am willing to accept the possibility that these only come in centerlock, but I figured I might as well poke around on here first.

If memory serves me correctly, you can get adapters for converting centerlock to 6-bolt.
On the other hand, a 160mm rotor made by Shimano is the same diameter as a 160mm rotor made by Hayes, is the same diamater as a rotor made by anybody. The only difference will be the size of the braking surface.
I have used Shimano rotors with Hayes brakes with no ill effects.
