DAMMIT.

I also had a great ride last night... and yesterday morning, with a pile of work in between. Starting to normalize with this "work" bullshit I've been having to endure this year.

Here. Haley's levers didn't show up yesterday, so no bike work done. Rode in again, which felt very good. Getting psyched for Rise Against/Deftones concert tomorrow night.

Good Morning!

The pile of folders on my desk grows larger.....I am considering taking my Swingline stapler and walking slowly out the front door in slow motion as a giant fireball explosion detonates behind me.

Other than that, I can't really pinpoint anything awesome that happened to me. Drank some Guinness, sat on the back patio and watched the little brown bats whip around the back yard for a little while.

Heading to the coast this weekend to get some fishing time in.

Check are on route for delivery to my wife so she will get a second chance to deposit. She is on the verge of a break down but I hope she will keep cool. I got okay from our bank that this will not effect our house purchase so I feel a lot better today.

Co-op business is all cleared up?

I overdid it a bit yesterday: White Ranch then riding to work then working a late shift until 10 then riding back home. Tonight is Colorado Symphony Orchestra at Red Rocks. Should be fun, although I'm dreading the traffic jam getting out of there.

Park at the bottom of the lot if you can. It will move more quickly that way.

Morning Monkeys.

Tomorrow off, but I work Monday and have Tuesday off because I am stupid. Lots of work to do between now and Wednesday and i somehow doubt it will get done.

While not as good as Rise Against, the wife is excited to see Chris Isaak.

On a lighter note, we got tickets to the Saturday night cruise with Terry Robb. That is what I am looking forward to this year.

Los Angeles chaos in full swing. Burbank was on fire yesterday adding to the usual socal air pollution, thereby ensuring I have good awful nose/throat/eye issues. Hoping to score man-date with @mandown. Though trying to get together has proven to be more problematic than I would have expected, once again.

Lucky! I'm headed to see a specialist for the hematoma I got nearly two months ago... apparently there's a chance of a Morel-Lavallée lesion which could maybe be bad?
what drove you to go back to the Dr? My contusion is now a week old, the size of a dinner plate, on my hip. The past two days have been exceptionally painful. Wearing pants and sitting in a chair (as one does at the office) is excruciating. If I move or breathe wrong, it feels like someone squirted fire-starter on my skin and lit a match. It's ridiculous. I went to my Dr on Tuesday, but that's before the pain started to get worse.

The datacenter being built across the street from here in an old news paper printing factory just had their cooling units installed. Massive....

I'd love to take a tour of the place. Think they'll let me in if I go up and ask? :nerd:

In my case, someone usually steps on mine on the train or at the train station. Usually gouging the fancy leather, too.
Coffee on the top of my shoe is probably not as bad as the God-knows-what accumulating on the soles when I walk Downtown. That is why I've adopted the shoes-off policy at my casita.

The end of the month is always a pain in my ass at work. Got all of my required work done and now off to ride bikes with space worms.

Today has been interesting at work. I have arranged for people to hit paint soaked golf balls at a large canvas and assisted another group of people that needed to burn barbie dolls over a bed of coals.

I had to go on an emergency call in Denver a few years ago. A data center was supposed to go live and the company doing the cooling system had their controls guy quit at the last minute. I got called in to go finish up his work. I quickly realized why he quit, his code was garbage and he had barely even started. 3 long days working off of little more than some back of napkin sketches I managed to get that shit up and running. It was a little nerve racking hearing multiple 300HP coolant pumps ramping up and hoping I got the control loop right and they weren't going to blow up.

Damn. We should start a club!

The hole my bars put in my crotch (it was like an ugly vagina) is healing up nicely. Should be good to go in a few more weeks but the big bulging hematoma, that I shall refer to as my third ball, seems like it will be the more persistent portion of the injury. The surgeon is a bit worried that it might develop into a big mass of scar tissue. He recommended using a heat pad twice a day to increase blood flow and light massage (which really hurts). You guys have any other advice?

PS. The term "spotted dick" has never meant more to me.
