Yeah, thats why they have “decision height” and “missed approach procedures”. Continuing an approach when you cant see the runway usually has those effects.World Aviation History on Instagram: "January 2019, Olenya airbase, Murmansk region. After a normal training flight, a Tu-22M3 was returning back to base, attempting to land in difficult weather conditions. Leaving aside the low visibility, the Tupolev was too fast and made a hard contact on the runway, which made the plane bounce and rip apart in mid-air. Only one crew member out of four managed to eject. #tupolev #tu22 #tu22m3 #russianairforce #russianbomber #aviation #accident #landing #crash #crashlanding #failedlanding #bomber #jet #aircraft #airplane #aviationhistory #military #militaryaviation #catastrophe"

Well what's more important, your pension or that they continue to make F-12 hypersonic nuclear powered stealth tanks? Those motherfuckers had better *NOT* run out of money. They owe me a (tiny) pension.

Well, ya. Do you actually think we went to the moon? Dude, the earth is flat and Tartaria will rise again.I just got back from the Air and Space museum, and I swear to freakin’ gawd the stuff on the lunar landing modules were put together with speed tape.
In a union shop?Someone forgot to tighten the cowling and is going to get fired
A mea culpa of sorts. In "I know a guy who knows a guy" news, word on the street is both the mechanics involved in the Southwest cowl departure were brand spanking new. One still on new hire probation and the other just weeks past. Both have apparently been relieved of their duties with the airline. It is heady days in the industry right now but it speaks to me of pretty poor culture that two essentially brand new people were allowed to be working all night and nobody was double checking their work. I also wonder what kind of half assed walk around the FO was doing that they failed to notice a unsecured cowl. It's not that hard to spot.In a union shop?
so I'm hearing there'll be two new car salesmen in the near futureBoth have apparently been relieved of their duties with the airline.
They will just walk across the street to United. Pay scale isn't quite as good, but they'll probably be fine.so I'm hearing there'll be two new car salesmen in the near future
