Sho-Air/Specialized developing new cross country talent.

<p>The Sho-Air/Specialized mountain bike team has a new up and comer on their roster for 2011.</p><p>
Cody Phillips, 17 out of Monrovia is the first U-18 development rider that have taken on during their six plus years of fielding a mountain bike squad. And it looks like Phillips was a solid bet for the team so far!</p><p>

“Cody’s been a great addition to the team, comments team manager Ty Kady. “It’s a new area for us working with a rider as young and new to the sport as Cody, but we are excited to try and develop the next Todd Wells, Adam Craig’s of the US Mountain scene continues Kady.</p><p>
In his first season with Sho-Air/Specialized Phillips has already racked up a slew of wins and podium finishes in the CAT 1 17-18 division. Phillips is fresh off wrapping up the So. Cal High School League series title sweeping every round in the process.</p><p>

“It’s being on the Sho-Air/Specialized team” says Phillips. “They are a well run and I’m learning a lot from all the great different riders they have, so it’s been a dream come true for me, continues Cody.</p><p>

On May 1st, Phillips looks to complete a “perfect” season by winning the So. Cal High School League state championships held at Vail Lake in Temecula, California.</p><p>

Phillips was also recently featured in the Pasadena Star News for his recent accomplishments in Mountain Bike racing at the High School Level.</p><p>

We are all proud of Cody and the job he has done representing the team, elaborates Kady. “He’s really done a good job of embracing the team’s core values of being a good ambassador on and off the track.”</p>
