Alright, so I'm after a Ti spring for my RC4 and I've come across one. Only issue is it's an older RCS DHX specific one with the 1.38" id. Just a little concerned because I'm pretty sure the newer fox stuff uses 1.43" springs.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to get away with it without rubbing on the shock body of my RC4?

Cheers

DHX and RC4 use the same size ID spring. Your RCS should work fine.

Fit issues are usually from heavier (500+) weight springs rubbing the piggy back...

i'm in the same boat, so confused on spring sizes for the Fox DHX, a 3" Ti spring for a 9.5"x3" shock is just right, right?

Good to hear! For some reason I thought the DHX's used a slightly narrower spring... not sure why I thought that though.
