Or just build it as a beater and beat the crap out of it?

I see a Marzocchi on it. I have a 5" marzocchi that I was going to send back to Performance. I think I will keep riding the Pike. I have $260 in the marz drop off II. Make an offer. I may be willing to give it up. I havent tried it yet, but I am sure it is a good fork. It is a 20mm axle.

Never mounted.

I was leaning towards a new Pike. Lemme research the DO II. Is it uncut?
Yup - if my Pike had a long enough steerer, I would send it, but it doesn't. I am sure a new crown is $125.

edit - ouch

Go for it, Stinky. I'm gonna dump a bunch of money into a hardtail SS, myself. And do the paintjob if you want it. Why not??

What the hell is with the old men and building dirt jumpers lately?

When you hit a certain age you just don't question the opportunity to drop a load into a hardtail.
