i have a super t and i dont really think that its quite plush enough or absorb small bumps like really good. i weigh about 115 and have the stock springs and run like a 120 oil height. i get full travel and only bottomed it once. so right now i think the oil height is perfect. so do you think it would be better to get lighter springs and put a bit more oil in there?? ill probly know a bit better after this weekend but just wanna get a bit of advice too.

Ha Ha. That was so funny. I wish they would teach me comedy in college. I feel like they are just stealing my money.

I have two boys both about 100 to 110lbs. Tuning suspensions to them is tough, but I been doing it a while with several differant forks so I think I can be of help. They are both currently on Super T's . One has a 02 and the other an 03.
They use differant spring kits because of the stanchion diameter. You don't mention what year you have so I will try to explain both.
Basically the 03 has both a 100mm spring and a 130mm spring in each leg. This is travel not actual spring length. You can order a soft kit which is recommended to I think 120lbs. I have found it better to not necessarily change all the springs to soft. Thats the nice thing about having 4 springs you can run a soft on say the 100mm spring for small bump sensitivity and then run a firmer spring on the 130mm to make fork more progressive. Then fine tune it with the oil height. Also don't be afraid to run differant spring rates in differant legs. Running a soft on one side and a firmer on the other side if perfectly fine if you need to.
In order to get the 03 right for my son who is 105Lbs I only run springs in one leg. However the stock springs where to soft for that. So I run a extra firm 130mm spring and a stock 100mm spring. This also has the added benefit of being a little lighter due to 2 less springs. It works great for him on downhill racing but wouldn't be good for hucking.
Now the 02 is another story. The long spring is only 100mm and I'm not sure what the short is but I think its 85mm. Not sure why this is since the travel is the same as the 03. I basically run this one the same as the 03 but it feels a little softer and I am considering running 4 soft springs or changing the shorter to an extra firm. Hope this helps. Its a little confusing but if you reread the thread a couple times it should all make sense.

Aside from changing spring weight, you should also consider switching to ligher weight fork oil (5wt), and raising the level of the oil to resist bottoming. That way it will compress faster for you, and you can slow your rebound down so it will rebound just as slow despite the change in weight, and will be more sensitive. Well, maybe. It's definitely a cheap thing to try (if you can do the service yourself) before committing to a new set of springs. And for the record, since the two springs are stacked, it does not matter which set (100 or 130) that you switch to soft, if you ever do. If one is softer than the other, it will compress quicker. I would switch whichever one was cheaper ;) But if they're the same price, take your pick. And don't be afraid to run different springs in different legs. Like 2 reg. in one leg, and one reg and one soft in the other (if two soft end up being TOO soft). Gaul, I'm rambling. Hope that helps.

ya, thanks for a good answer. i have an 03 and i do do alot of hucking so im thinking of 2 setups. i do really like th race and i do it a good bit but as of right now for what i do around here i think it is like perfectly fine but just setting it soft for races or can i have it so it will work good for both and just add a bit of oil maybe. i think ill probly get like a long and short spring and try things out. so short will give better small bump absorbtion is what i think you were saying but idk, might be the guy under you. im realyl still confused so i ll just think about it for a while and eventually figure it out.

idk if compressing fast is what i want? i just want it to absorb more stuff. right now it just doesnt seem soft enough. it ramps up perfectly so i will get full travel and not bottom off the big hits but i need to change out my oil anyways since its dirty as crap ill try the 5 weight. but just by using 5 weight ill have to put more in?? so if all i did was put in 5 weight id have to increase my height to like 115 or 110 or somethin.
