I think Osama is doing exactly what the Bush admin wants him to do. Why should he resign when he is doing such a stellar job?

We need him to terrify the American public right up until say, October - then Bush will have him "captured" and his approval ratings will jump right before election.

The beheadings are perfect, everyone is freaking out. Nice job Osama.

Bin Ladin has done a wonderful job at his gig. Consider the following:

After 9/11 the entire world showed enormous goodwill and support for the people of the United States, looked like a stumbling block for Al Queda.

But the long term strategy and patience came together. The US was response was predictable - invade the Middle East. Afghanistan was a first step, that just riled up some of the hard cores in the region, but solidified Bin Ladins followers. Keep up the rumblings that the US was only in the region for oil and power, wait a little. Boom, the US hits Iraq and Bin Ladins prophecies come true. US support outside the Middle East starts to erode, Iraq is in chaos, hes got plenty of volunteers ready to go into Iraq and Afghanistan plus develop additional cells in Europe. Keep waiting for the Uncle Same to trip on his dick (prisoner abuse scandal for one), reap the benefits of recruiting.

For many, the US has gone from beloved beacon of democracy suffering an unwarranted attacked by cowards to arrogant super power using unchecked military powers. Perhaps Bin Ladin is a brilliant strategist.

The International Terrorists Union has a mandatory retirement age of 70 but you can not qualify for retirement until 65, so Osama has a few years to go before he can call it quits without having to find a new job. It should be easy for him to find a new gig with his high profile. But most of big terrorist organizations don't want the attention of a celebrity leader so he would probably have to settle for one of the smaller terrorists groups who are looking to grow. Of course if Al Queda starts having financial problems they may offer him an early retirement package in order to cut costs by reducing head count.

Actually, the orders were from the top... and the orders were followed. OBL is a much better leader than GWB, b/c he knows what is going with his troops, he knows how to unite people against an enemy, and he knows how to spread his influence across many borders (Africa, Asia, Europe...)

Too bad he is an evil sadistic delusional misguided F'...
