I emailed this qoute to a friend, and Outlook’s spelling and grammar check even suggests revising this:

"History is moving, and it will tend toward hope or tend toward tragedy.''

What is that supposed to mean?

relevant paragraph:

We did not seek this war on terror. But this is the world as we find it. We must keep our focus. We must do our duty. History is moving and it will tend toward hope or tend toward tragedy.
focus, duty, moving of history ==> gibberish

the meaning being "things will turn out one way or another"? i hope there was more meant to it than that, because the content-index of that is approximately 0.

I'm not stupid enough to get the true, hidden, non-un-meaning of that sentence.

Sounds like most of the academic crap I read in so many of my classes.....lots of words to tell you something you either a) already knew b) could say in twenty less syllables or c) makes the author sound smart cause they can use a thesaurus.

I heard that if you take the 3rd letter of each word and put them all together you get the neo-con plan for world domination...that explains the confusing speak.
