They go for about $80-$100 if you can still find em.
The new model, SCL2's, are about $100 even. No difference aside from a softer/flexier cable.
They are worth every penny if I'd spent $130 though. They fit perfectly with stock ear pieces. They attenuate almost as much as foam ear plugs, but the highs are a little clearer.
I bought them for rehearsing drum parts to a gig I'm filling in for, I needed a click monitor in one ear and a keyboard sequence in the other.
With over-the-ear phones or cheap buds you have to crank them to distortion to hear the click over live drums/music. Now it's like playing in a bubble.
The E2c is widely available for $60-70 and if you just keep an eye out, they drop to $50 quite often. $44 is a great price, though.
I gave a listen to the E2c and liked them. Ended up with one of the new SE models because I thought they had better detail but for $40-50, they're sweet.
that's a solid gig. seattle on the 16th. damn. you guys ever going to venture north of the border? damn familial obligations, keeping me on a short leash...
