Anyone have pics/vids or any info on the race? I was planning on getting a WIM season pass and would like to know a little more about this course, I already know that the Beacon course is sweet (a little mellow but still fun)... also where is Silver at?

Use the search button.. ;) I posted a few questions about this last week here in DH and in PNW forums. Ive ridden Silver a few years back but I hear the mountain is really making some changes next year and will have FR and DH trails.

HOW, give me a ring I have today and tomorrow off.

Mellow? WOW!!! You haven't done any of the other WIM races then, because if you thing Beacon is Mellow, you'd fall asleep on the rest of the courses!

I think Beacon is probably one of the funnest (I know, not a word) courses we have in the NW. So many different features on the course. Short, but fun.

yeah, its surprising that i haven't heard many people talking about goin there just to ride when there's no racing there. i love the course(s) and there is some other on the same hill

Well I was speaking on more of a comparative level, the course is nothing like Schweitzer, Whistler DH, or any national level course, though it is fun as hell, it's more like a freeride race. Um, what happened to MTX? Not recognized by WIM?

I agree Beacon is pretty mellow but man it is sweet. Compared to Schweitzer, Whistler DH, and Mount 6 ;) its mellow. Imagine racing Mt 6......

and beacon has no braking bumps (that you can feel anyway). but yeah, it is definitely more "freeridey." it sounds like silver will not be so mellow. i think i remember when i read that article that it was supposed to be pretty steep and challenging. i guess they deleted it though cuz its not in the news forum anymore

Kanter- I'll call you tonite, we should ski tommorow or the next day...

a race down MT6 would be carnage that's for sure lol... half the riders would DNF in the off camber switchback chute section, I remember Graham and I did it at night with no lights it was so haggard, i fell face first on the table top of that path gap and graham snapped his seat on like the first chute

we're gonna session the spencer road gap in the snow too a soon as Jordan's memory lacked brain remembers to call me.
