Hey everyone, i recently sent my rear shock to Fox for a rebuild. This is the first time i have dealt with the repair section of Fox. Does anyone have any experiences with how long they take? I sent it about a week ago.

Well there was also a problem with the rebound not working, and i don't know if PUSH could have helped me. but anyway, anybody know how long it typically takes?

The one and only time I needed to deal with fox, the turn around was under a week door to door. I think they even sent it 2-day back to me. That was in July to boot. I'm sure they are just delayed due to the holiday BS.

it depends where you are and how close you are to the fox place. for me it took only one week, but i was not very far away.

huh? propedal is a fox product...not a push one.

turnaround is usually 2-4 weeks, depending on load and holidays etc.

Sorry, they could have added their pro-pedal like dampening....

and yes they could have fixed the rebound.

Ya, because we all know every single fox shock has rebound issues?

Have you even ridden a fox shock produced in the last 2 years?
well, I don't know about every fox shock, but this guy actually said his shock had a rebound problem......

oops, I only read his first post. On the newer shocks it means it's a blown IFP. Why they ever made 2 part IFPs I will never know.

my apologies.

The last two Fox rear shocks I've had were a 2003 Vanilla RC and a 2002 Float RL. They both felt great and worked reliably. The Float stopped holding air after two years of regular use and the Vanilla wasn't used much but it was flawless maintenance wise. It turns out the Float was leaking air out of the rebound adjuster so Fox pimped it out with a new Pro-Pedal shim-stack and fresh seals throughout. I have the AVA chamber on there too which makes the travel feel deeper and more coil-like.

I know Fox is slammed right now so I wouldn't be surprised if there is at least a few days of wait from when your shock arrives to when they even look at it but it usually only takes a day to fix it and get it back in the mail so two-three weeks is the longest it ever takes. Call Jason Rahlwes (there are 2 Jasons) in bicycle CS at 1-800-FOX-SHOX and give him your RA#, he will fill you in on exactly where your shock is in the line-up and when you can expect it back. :)
