Is it ok to run a 9 speed chain, singlespeed on a cassette? I know it sounds super ghetto (just removing the derailur) but i want to (if possible) let the wheels be interchangeable with a geared bike. They will be for a killswitch, but id like to be able to transfer to a wildcard. I know its possible, but does it work well?

nope, doesn´t work well in my experience. the chainline has to be absolutely right, and the shifting ramps on the sprockets are no help either. the killswitch had a concentric pivot? it may work, but only you can tell if you try it out.
if i were you i´d just get the proper tools, it takes you 2 minutes to change the cassette to a singlespeed setup and vice versa.

What he said. Changing a cassette takes, what, 2-3 minutes? This is one you want to do properly.

I have to stuff to do it properly, i just try (if possible) to have everything to a standard, which is also why i use 8 inch rolors on my DJ bike, when/if im at a race, easy swaps. The cassettes tend to get stuck on the i9s hubs, ill just do it properly, but was hoping that i could get away with it. :(

well, if your cassettes tend to get stuck on the freewheel body i´d get a singlespeed sprocket which has a wider contact area. so you don´t destroy the freewheel body, because singlespeed sprockets tend to dig into the freewheel body.
