FYI, Etnies in MIssion Viejo doesn't allow 26" during bike hours, or anytime for that matter. Costa Mesa has Rangers/Cops that will chase you through backyards. Bottom line, stick to the streets or the dirt.

OMFG, I haven't heard anything like that- thats completely crazy! Can you mtb at the Vans skateparks?
At the Santa Barbara skatepark at big park ranger guy called Hugio will chase you.
hahaha- really? I'm going to go down there one weekday at 6:30.
Ladara skatepark allows bikes on certain nights/mornings. It's supposed to be legit, but nobody cares. It is however a city park ONLY, and you have to have a card to get in. But there are so many pple going in and out that it's easy to get in. All I know is Thrusday nights from 7:00 - 10:00PM is the bike sesh. I havnt gotten any trouble with anybody as far as MTB goes. But just keep it low profile. Oh, and there arent supposed to be skaters allowed in that sesh, but they go any ways, so dont bother to just go any time. It's on Antonio Pkw. and Oneil. when your on Oneil, its to your left right after the round-a-bout. Lates. BTW, super fun park, lots of hips and $hit to do.
