Hey All,

Any of you who have ever considered trying this skibike stuff with me? Now is the time I can really hook you up! I have complete ski bike kits, they are an aluminum triangle design similar to the Hanson/Xbike kits.See attached pics. I have one complete kit ready to go on your bike with 95cm Nordica snow blades $125.00 and I have about a half dozen complete kits less ski's for $75.00 Kits include traingle mounts, Axles and all axle hardware for a std. 10mm front dropout, any 135x10mm rear dropout and with the removal of a spacer on each side of the rear axle it will fit bmx bikes, Pegs and binding screws to mount your ski's. I would honestly recomend a bungee system for ski retention over the springs provided and you can easily build a better peg design using old bicycle parts. You can get or make a 20mm dowell adaptor to mount the kit on a 20mm fork.

I would be glad to help any of you set your bike up and even escort you to the mountain and give you some instruction.. Come on you guys come play with me! You won't be sorry!

Sorry guys, I am in Vancouver WA. Local cash sales only or you come to me.

Duane

Skibowl does claim to allow skibikes but they only allow their rental bikes no personal bike at all!:mad:

I do alot of back country stuff on Mt. Hood and shuttle the Alpine trail from T-line down to Govie.. I do most of my resort riding at Hoodoo www.hoodoo.com Full access to the whole MTN. and terrain park plus the ski bike festival the 1st weekend of April every year with BikerX racing on Sat and GS Gate racing on Sun. Snoqualmie Pass, Mt Baker, Mt Ashland, and
and Ski Anthony Lakes are the main one in Or & WA with backcountry cat ski'ing open to skibikes at Anthony Lakes I am pretty close to getting Timberline to open to skibikes I think!!:thumb:

Here is a list of skibike friendly resorts http://www.ski-bike.org/ski_areas.html

I think I am going to build a ski bike since I live 15 minutes from hoodoo. I have a frame, fork and some burly bars to build something up but what are the major factors with ski's verses weight and bike balance?
I am going to be there tomorrow you should stop in. Look for the red and white Norco.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to ask? The bike will be lighter on ski's and you are lowering your axle height to about 6inches so your center of gravity will be much lower and farther back. You don't have the gyroscopic effect of the spinning wheels to assist in balance so it feels a little different at first but you get used to that in no time!...

You need to do this I have a bike you can ride or Hoodoo has one of the largest rental fleets in the country. Check the skibiking section of their website.

hi
i just joined this forum to tell you that im interested in a kit.
my email is rckyboster@yahoo.com
thanks
With the exception of a couple kits I am keeping for myself to enhance my loaner fleet.

You know I gotta say I am kind of disappointed in all my local "homies" here!
I posted these kits solely on MTBR's Oregon forum and here in PNW in hopes of getting more of my local MTB riders into skibiking, nearly every inquiry I got was from a new member who joined and made their first post to contact me. They found us by Googling "skibike" and unfortunatly I shipped every kit I sold halfway across the country or to other countries and continants

Oh well the offer still stands if anyone wants to try this I'll meet you at the mountain and outfit you with a bike. Just bring your helmet and snow gear.
But I got to warn you "Once you try this you'll wish you'd bought one of those kits" :D

Here is a bike from my loaner fleet, you can ride! or we can kit your bike temporarily ( as long as I get my kit back!)
The first SkibikerX Race of the season is coming up at Hoodoo Jan 31st.

Duane

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT KITS AND ENJOY!

Hey Dewey Dude. Had tried to build my own ski-bike a while ago, with minimal success (no welder any more). Are you still selling these kits this year? If so I'd love to buy a set from ya! Shoot me an e-mail: a_bombal@hotmail.com
Thanks for restarting my interest in ski-biking. I'll have to check out HooDoo this next year!

Cheers!

Hey Duane,

My name is Bryce and I am a skier living in boulder Colorado. Long story short I like biking too and want to convert my bmx to a ski bike. Can you help me? I love skiing and biking. Why not combine the two.

Cheers

can you sell just the triangle deals? I have a pair of cut up skis that have been sitting in my closet for many years. ive just never got around to making the triangle dealios.

I would need them for a bmx bike. 14mm axle front and rear.

very interested in buying your kit, although I can see you are overloaded. I was an instructor at mt baker until I quit to ski with better skiers, am 78 or so, survived a stroke and a replacement knee not so much. I have a full-suspension Santa Cruz I'd like to use. any help? and I will definitely see you at hoodoo in January.
